At NurtureStars Preschool, we believe that meaningful learning happens best when children are engaged, curious, and having fun. We are proud to share that our NurtureStars Toa Payoh team has been awarded the Most Popular Board Game Award at the 2026 National Preschool Chinese Language Teaching Aids Competition.

NS Toa Payoh’s entry, “Santa Claus’s Flip-Flops” (《圣诞老人的人字拖》), won the Most Popular Award at the 2026 Singapore Chinese Language Learning (SCCL) Preschool Chinese Teaching Aids Competition on 28 March 2026.

Organised by the Singapore Centre for Chinese Language, the biennial competition celebrates innovation in early childhood education and encourages educators to create engaging teaching resources that bring language learning to life.

Representing NurtureStars are our dedicated educators Ms Zhai Qiutong, Ms Chen Jiening, Ms Chen Shuling, and Ms Xu Ziling impressed both judges and the public with their creative card-based board game inspired by the Chinese picture book Santa Claus’ Flip-Flops. Their winning concept stood out for being simple, relatable, interactive, and enjoyable for young children.

Our dedicated educators Ms Zhai Qiutong, Ms Chen Jiening, Ms Chen Shuling, and Ms Xu Ziling from NurtureStars Toa Payoh team.

This recognition reflects our educators’ passion for creating meaningful and playful learning experiences that make Chinese language learning more accessible and exciting for preschoolers. By transforming stories into hands-on activities, our team demonstrated how children can learn best through imagination, movement, and play.
