Behind every child’s day at NurtureStars is a team of educators who plan, care, encourage and celebrate each small milestone. Once a year, we set aside a day to celebrate them.

On 1 October 2026, more than 100 educators and staff from across NurtureStars centres gathered at SAFRA Mount Faber for NurtureStars Day 2026. Guided by the theme “One Team, One Journey, Stronger Together”, the event celebrated the people behind our centres and the teamwork that brings our shared purpose to life.

We were honoured to welcome LTC (Ret) Mr Ho Lye Sum, Chairman of the NurtureStars Joint Management Committee (JMC), alongside Ms Kwan Peck Leng, Group Managing Director of Crestar Education Group (CEG), Mr Robert Leong, CEO of Kinderland International Education (KIE); Mr Ng Tiow Seng, Group HR Director of CEG; Mr Tay Kee Hong, Chief Financial Officer of CEG; and Mr Seet Lee Kiang, General Manager of KIE.

The morning featured addresses by Ms Janice Sim, NurtureStars’ General Manager and Mr Ho. Ms Sim spoke about the strength of collaborating as a team and how educators should always remain open to new ideas to broaden their learning. She also spoke about how educators can leverage artificial intelligence (AI) to support them in their daily work, but she stressed that care and human connection should always be at the heart of everything they do.

Meanwhile, Mr Ho thanked educators for their efforts in nurturing and caring for children. He said it is a responsibility that goes beyond just care, as their contribution makes a positive difference in childrens’ lives.

Following their addresses, Mr Ho presented awards recognising our centres’ achievements in curriculum, parent satisfaction, and food, nutrition and hygiene. Mr Ho also presented Special Appreciation Awards to six educators who have dedicated their service to NurtureStars for more than a decade.

Educators also recited the NurtureStars Teachers’ Pledge, reaffirming their commitment to the children in their care, before taking part in team-bonding activities inspired by Singapore’s heritage. Through a series of challenge stations, teams put their coordination, creativity and coordination to the test.
