Children at NurtureStars @ SAFRA Punggol marked Kindness Day on 19 May to bring the meaning of being kind to the next level and help foster a more caring and gracious society.
They started the day with teachers explaining the meaning of kindness using posters and storyboards, and stimulating discussions on various examples of kindness. They also practised how to be kind to one another, for example, by taking turns to do things, sharing toys, and showing appreciation/saying “thank you”.
To let the message sink in with the children, the teachers assigned them to colour and read a “Sharity and friends” comic strip on making room for new friends.
