They may be 5 and 6 years old, but they pumped up the energy to showcase their “Stronger Bodies and Sharper Minds” at NurtureStars’ Annual Sport Day on 26 August 2023.

The event only resumed this year after a break of about three years due to the pandemic. It was held at the Singapore Institute of Management’s (SIM) Sports Hall in Clementi Road.

Once again it was delightful to see some 200 Kindergarten 1 and 2 children from all the NurtureStars childcare centres put their best foot forward in a display of their physical agility and endurance. They were watched by about 700 parents and family members.

The events included games and races, gymnastic formations of an airplane, a sailboat and a pyramid, and special presentations of their skipping rope and basketball skills.

Parents also had the opportunity to join and bond with their children in some of the games and races.

The highlight of the event was the Tug-of-War where two groups of 12 parents flexed their muscles to outlast each other.
