While this year’s celebration of SAF Day on 1st July was a simple no-frills event held at the SAFTI Military Institute Memorial Hall because of Covid-19, NurtureStars children at all the six preschool centres in SAFRA clubs nevertheless commemorated it in their classes.

Teachers explained to them the importance of n  ational defence and showed how the Singapore Armed Forces had expanded over the last 55 years through videos. They had an art and craft session where they created cut-out military images, and signages and posters with thank you messages to National Servicemen.
