Children from NurtureStars @ SAFRA Choa Chu Kang and NurtureStars @ SAFRA Jurong joined the National Day Observance Ceremony at Clementi Camp in celebration of Singapore’s 61st birthday. The visit gave our young learners an opportunity to experience the spirit of National Day and take part in activities that brought the celebrations to life.

Children from NurtureStars @ SAFRA Choa Chu Kang and NurtureStars @ SAFRA Jurong joined the National Day Observance Ceremony at Clementi Camp.

As part of the ceremony, children observed a marching contingent and watched with excitement as the participants moved in coordination. For many of our children, it was an exciting opportunity to experience a National Day celebration up close and see how the community comes together to mark this special occasion.

Our children also enjoyed a range of activities during the celebrations, including National Day-themed temporary tattoos, stickers and interactive games. These hands-on experiences allowed our children to participate in the festivities, explore their surroundings and share the joy of the occasion with their friends.

For our children, being part of a community celebration also created opportunities to talk about Singapore, National Day and what it means to belong to a community. Concepts such as unity, cooperation and respect can become more meaningful when children encounter them through shared experiences.

At NurtureStars, we believe that meaningful learning takes place both within and beyond the classroom. Experiences in the wider community help children develop their curiosity and confidence, while encouraging them to appreciate the people, traditions and shared experiences that make Singapore home.
