Great things are never done by one person, so every year the teachers and staff of NurtureStars Preschool spend a day together to learn, bond and build teamwork in order to provide even better services to their young charges.

This year, some 110 of them from all the six centres gathered at SAFRA Mount Faber on 6 September to mark NurtureStars’ Day 2019 and, at the same time, commemorate Teachers’ Day.

The highlight was a team-building exercise in the afternoon. It was developed specially by the SAFRA Cohesion Programme to help NurtureStars further build its team and foster loyalty, trust, cooperation, leadership.

Earlier in the morning, the day’s programme was kicked off with a talk on the importance of positive mindset, followed by two other talks on personality profiling and e-benefits for employees.

During lunch, various awards for achievements in 2018 were given out to the winners.

The first three awards were presented by Mr Ho Lye Sum, the Joint Management Committee Chairman, The Best Productivity Award 2018 went to NurtureStars Toa Payoh, the Best Parents Survey Award 2018 to Mount Faber and Best SMART Implementation Award 2018 to the Tampines centre.

Mr Donald Tan, Deputy CEO, presented the Best Resilience Award 2018 to Jurong West centre, Best Innovative Project Award 2018 to Yishun, and Best Community Engagement Award 2018 to Punggol.

Dr Carol Loy, Curriculum Director, Kinderland Educare Service Pte Ltd, presented the Best Curriculum Implementation Award 2018 to Nurturestars Mount Faber.

The staff also had the chance to win attractive lucky draw prizes. The top three prizes were a Samsung Tablet, an Oppo handphone ($260) and Fitbit Versa Lite.
