Every year children at all of NurtureStars’ six preschool centre mark SAF Day with activities to remind them of the important of service to the nation.

On 1st July, the children spent time learning about the importance of the Army in national defence and the role of soldiers, including National Servicemen, in preparing to be operationally ready to defend the country in times of crisis.

At all the centres in Jurong West, Mount Faber, Punggol, Tampines Toa Payoh and Yishun, children sang songs sung by recruits, such as “Training to be a soldier”, made paper figures of soldiers and took turns to salute the country’s defence servicemen.
