Every year, Children’s Day is celebrated in October here in Singapore. Like most other preschools, NurtureStars Preschool had our celebration in October as we lined up a slew of activities for its children in all the six centres around the island.
NurtureStars Tampines children’s day celebration, the PN1 to K2 children participated in a pasta making workshop. They had a hands-on experience making the pasta and had it for lunch! We also had an art sale where our children created individual art pieces to raise money for the Ju Eng Home for the Seniors.
Over at NurtureStars Toa Payoh, our children together with our teachers are doing planting, printing and painting to raise funds for the Ju Eng Home as part of the celebration. The theme for this year is “Beautiful Hearts”.
Over at NurtureStars Jurong, they are having children’s day cookery session live with parents and children together with SAFRA Jurong to create a yummy and healthy bento set.
At NurtureStars Punggol and Yishun, putting up all the nostalgic fun games and about our childhood and also have a best costume competition among the children.
Over at NurtureStars Mount Faber, this year, the theme for LEP was “NurtureStars Rediscover Singapore”. Children bought tickets and participated in the booth games. Each booth was innovatively designed to enable children to learn about the famous places in Singapore.
The “Little Entrepreneurs” projects held at the various centres help children to learn about business and the use of money. During the activities, the children used coupons that parents had purchased for them to “buy” various items on “sale”.
