Classes at all the six NurtureStars preschool centres were awashed in red and white when the children turned up to celebrate the nation’s 56th birthday in the early part of August.
Donning the national colours, the children sang the national anthem and recited the pledge as one united people “to achieve happiness, prosperity and progress for our nation.”
Children at Safra Jurong West, Mount Faber, Toa Payoh and Yishun made paper cut-outs and crafts on various Singapore icons to express their pride in our nation. Our little stars from Tampines also did a merlion craft making. They were very excited to make the merlion and learn about the symbolism of the merlion.
Our infants from Punggol learn to make National Day food craft Greek Yogurt with water melon to immerse in the celebration too.
They all enjoyed the activities together and had their pictures taken to show their mums and dads.
